Hey there!
If you’re new to Mirth and Music Monday, let me give you the low down. Every week, a few other bloggers and I go through the long, arduous process of finding hilarious comedians, articles, etc. and breathtaking, interesting, or just plain nifty music. Then, every Monday, we all link up using that little blue guy to your right there. All you have to do to access all this cool, is click on that froggy face. Great, isn’t it? We do all the work, you have all the fun.
Oh, who am I kidding? I LOVE researching for Mirth and Music Monday. It’s my favorite chore. 😀 (And, yes. I do put it on my chore list. That way, it’s legitimate procrastination. Er… work. Legitimate work. Moving on.) If you want to play along, go ahead and add extensive research to your to do list, put together your post, follow the smiley, and click “add your link”.
I sincerely hope no one will be offended by this first video. I am very, very familiar with life in racially charged areas, including the one Michael Jr. is talking about, so this struck me as hilarious.
And to celebrate diversity for no particular reason other than it goes well with the first video and I want to, I present DC Talk.
Hmmm… Maybe I should add more legitimate chores to my list as well…. Why didn’t I think of that?

Maybe we should both add “Talk with best friend on phone for no less than 3 hours per week.” 😛

My first comment I started actually suggested the same, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to call that a chore…

Ha ha! I pulled up that comedy show months back (you know, before our T.V. broke) and that was one of my favorite parts. I also like the part when he talks about trying to help his kids with their homework. lol
DC Talk is awesome! They were one of the top Christian bands when I was a teen. It was so cool to have a band that did music other than hymns. Don’t get me wrong, I love to go through a hymnal and see how many songs my sisters and I can remember. But there’s something about a Christian group that can do music that actually sounds contemporary. 🙂

😀 DC Talk came out when I was a tween, so by the time you were a teen, they’d already been around for a little while. (I’m not much older, but I’ve got enough years on you that we’d be likely to have different musical bands on our radar at the time.) I’m the opposit,e though. We grew up listening to more contemporary and edgey music than traditional. Beloved actually taught me most of the hymns I know. 🙂
I haven’t heard the homework bit yet. I’ll have to look it up. 🙂

It was a Christian comedy thing called Thou Shalt Laugh. They have a couple of them. They’re pretty funny. It’s cool to be reminded that someone can be funny enough to make you almost wet your pants and never say anything you wouldn’t have your little ones hear. 🙂
