This week, I give you a brief 12 lines for the 12th of March. We last left Arvid heading out the door in the middle of the night…

Kiano waited outside, holding a rope attached to a small donkey laden with bags. Master, looking uncharacteristically slovenly, stepped up to Arvid to speak in hushed tones.

“The council of Elders met tonight. Without me. It seemsΒ  Jedrek isn’t the only one who’s upset about today’s events.” He frowned deeply at her. “They sent a messenger to wake me up. You’ll be permanently exiled if you’re still here in the morning.”

Arvid shook her head. The garland slipped and she caught it just in time. “But why? All I did was defend myself.”

Aaand that’s it. If all goes well, I’ll have some more ofΒ  Queen of Bears to share with you. In the meantime, I hope you’ll visit me again tomorrow and Friday to learn more about Alana Terry’s Slave Again.
